Dear World - My Career Goals

My passion for cooking started when I was a child. I was always surrounded by people who cooked and because of that I was heavily influenced by what they loved. My dad isn’t a chef but, my grandpa is. Although I never met him, I’ve learned his recipes and what type of techniques and tricks he has done. My grandpa is a chef who had his own restaurant and even since then my family has a goal of starting a restaurant ourselves. I learned early on that while cooking is fun, I have a greater passion for cakes, brownies, and cupcakes. To be completely honest, I do not have the right equipment to do the stuff I have been wanting to do, but since my school studies baking and pastries I have been very engaged and loving the things I have learned. I feel like I could really express my creativity in the food I bake. It’s not only fun but, I feel like it’s something that could help me grow into an adult. It’s something where I can start something for myself and maybe I can start a bakery shop like my family has always dreamed of. I have every intention of continuing my culinary education once I graduate and I hope one day I could be a “big shot” pastry chef.
